I went to Home Goods after meeting Lisa and bought a blouse, some earrings a muffin tin, and some Spanx. After 60 days at home, I thought that would be deeply satisfying. It wasn’t. = NO LIFE.

Two nights ago, on a group coaching call, one of the Firegirls lamented no longer having tea parties at her house with friends from church. The other Firegirls chimed in with “Have it in your yard.” “On blankets!” “With proper teacups and daffodils!" This was a clever solution and made us feel a little British and therefore better about ourselves. = LIFE.

What Are You Really Hungry For?

Before I hit midlife, I regarded those feelings like pond scum floating on the surface of my lovely, blue lake. Pouring sugar on them sank them back down to the bottom, where they belong.

A good storm though - like a global pandemic - stirs them right back up doesn't it?

In those moments when I’m crazy, ravenous for pie, cookies, ice cream, and chocolate, it’s not because I’m hungry.
