You Can Be Sad & Grateful

Of course, good vibes are a great idea because bad vibes ARE contagious, (think complaining, selfishness, victimhood) but I think the Law of Attraction accidentally taught us that someone else’s pain is a contagious bad vibe, and we need to quarantine it before it gets on us too.

Need a Little Good News Right Now?

I admire teachers like Chris because I came to Jesus as a skeptic and a doubter, so for better or worse, my b.s. meter is super low tolerance. Even a hint of game or manipulation or bad theology from the pulpit and I'm out.

So when people preach the gospel, as Chris does - straight up, double shot, no chaser - it burns so good, and I'm reminded how revolutionary Jesus actually is. Truly, the gospel, properly rendered, is crazy good news.

What the Deep End Will Cost You

Besides good rehab, regular accountability and Jesus, the thing that helped Andy most was actively serving someone else. You see, when the enemy can keep us obsessively focused on our own lives, he can worry us into paralysis.

But God wants us striding into places we can't see, following his voice. It's not that my worries are irrational - no they're pretty legit - but through Andy, I felt the Lord saying: "I know. Keep going. Don't Quit. You take care of someone else and let me take care of you." 

So in case you've got the same problem this morning, here's my list of things that need taking care of way more than my my crazy-pants nighttime behavior does.
