Just Do The Next Right Thing
One of my life's biggest influences has been this man right here. Bob Goff.
Years ago, when Love Does was first out, I got to the last page and found he put his cell phone number in it.
"No way," I said and grabbed my phone. I didn't really like talking on the phone back then, so even that was kind of a brave move for me. Plus, I didn't think he'd answer.
"Hi this is Bob."
"Hi Bob, this is Erin from Texas. I can't believe you answered the phone.”
"I know," he said. "I'm walking through LAX I just got off a 27-hour flight from Uganda.”
"Wow Bob, I don't even answer my phone when I'm in my kitchen.”
Ever since I’ve been reading his books and following his example of living bigger, kinder, bolder. I don’t get it right all the time, but I’m sure he’d say he doesn’t either.
It’s the try that counts.
So the question I have is where do you need to dream bigger? Where has life taught you to settle? Stop settling, pull the chocks and just take the next right step.
